Girl, Boy, Show Me That Body (of Work) - Reading & Perfomance Project

Celebration. Queer futurism. Balkan-Feminist Noir. The transgender gaze in literature, and literature as a driver of democratic futures. Welcome to the SEASON FINALE of “Girl, Show Me That Body (of Work)” 23 OCTOBER 2026 8 PM at @lettretage with the extraordinary participation of poets ariel rosé and Yohan Holtkamp, essayist and writer Laura Rosell, and author, journalist and podcaster Ana Wetherall-Grujić! Moderated by the renowned poet, author and photographer Mary Katharine Tramontana What does it mean to rewrite classic narratives, such as “Venus in Furs” from trans perspectives, thereby blurring the boundaries between author, character, and reader? How do fiction and autofiction enable authors to reclaim agency over politicized and pathologized roles? How do comedy and joyful expression serve as powerful forms of knowledge exchange, psychosocial education, and linguistic innovation? How do intersections (of gender, geography, and identity) support democratic visions of the future? Come celebrate with us this last event of 2026, in gold, shining boots, or leather, dance, drink, and cheer to the world of words that this project has brought into existence in the last two and a half years in Berlin!
